Hari ini (3 Januari 2012) sekitar 22:25 UTC sampai 22:43 UTC, saat puncak sun rise di Cinere, lagi-lagi sinyal saya pada 160m CW 'terbang' sejauh 15.445 kilo meter ke VY2ZM di Prince Edward Island, Kanada, grid locator FN86VI. Kondisi band lebih baik dari pada kemarin sehingga pada 1821.5 KHz, saya sempat mendengar satu kali ketukan Jeff VY2ZM secara utuh. Tiga kali saya kirim laporan RST 339 kepadanya tapi QSO long path tidak sempurna karena saya kesulitan menerima laporan RST dari dia.
Beberapa saat kemudian, dia menuliskan nilai RST-nya melalui chat tapi saya tidak mau masuk ke dalam 'perangkap'-nya dan saya sudah lebih dulu menyatakan pada chat yang sama bahwa saya tidak copy laporan darinya. Jadi, tidak terjadi QSO dua arah yang sahih. Jeff adalah pribadi yang berreputasi pada 160m. Dialah penulis buku DX-ing On The Edge, terbitan ARRL (Gbr. 2). Nama panggilan lainnya adalah K1ZM.

Saat drama berlangsung, ada sekitar 114 top banders yang terhubung dalam chat 160m di ON4KST. Apapun situasinya, sportivitas harus dijaga! QSO CW adalah kegiatan dengan telinga, bukan dengan mata dan layar monitor!
Yang menggembirakan adalah, ada tambahan dua laporan dari N1DG op. Don di Massachusettes, dan N1BUG op. Paul, di Maine Amerika Serikat, yang bisa mendengar sinyal dari Cinere. Keduanya pernah menerima sinyal saya pada akhir 2010.
